Newly promoted Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Vihiga United have revealed key areas they are seeking to bolster ahead of the 2018 roller coaster in the top flight competition.

The Edward Manoah side emerged tops in the National Super League (NSL) to earn their rightful place in Kenya's elite league but they believe there are areas that have to be strengthened before the new season.

According to assistant head coach Francis Xavier, the team is set to bolsters almost the whole department.

"We will sign one keeper to bring competition to the department. This season we had three keepers and one got injured leaving us a bit exposed in that area and so we will bring in an extra custodian as a cover and also to boost competition between the posts. We will also sign a natural left back.Ombeva (Dennis) did a tremendous job this season despite not being a natural left back and we will get someone to help him out ," he told Futaa.com.

Also joining Vihiga in their KPL stint is Wazito Fc who emerged second while Ushuru will wait a little longer to know their fate when they play Thika United in a KPL playoff match to determine who will earn a place in the KPL extravaganza next season.
