The Kenya Premier League end of season award gala which was to take place in December has been pushed to January 2018.

This is according to a communiqué released by the league organizers on Monday which highlighted the looming Confederations of East and Central  Africa Football Association (Cecafa) games scheduled to kick off on December 3 to December 17 in the country.

The tourney which was initially slated for September has routinely been pushed postponed owing to the Kenya premier league calendar and thre heightened political situation that has stalked the country since the August 8 general elections.

The award gala which is normally held to fete outstanding football personalities in a given season is likely to come under very sharp focus this season after several issues were raised in the last episodes.

Sveral fans were left confounded over the criteria which the league organizer used to award various players that saw former Western Stima star Kenneth Muguna bag the Most Valuable Player award.
