Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants AFC Leopards have handed Argentine coach Rodolfo Zapata a 20-month contract.
Zapata takes charge from Tanzanian Coach Dennis Kitambi, who replaced former Coach Robert Matano on an interim basis.
The Club has also confirmed Jacob Abisai as the club's new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), filling in the position last held by Ronald Namai.
In a letter posted on the club’s official social media handles, Abisai who holds a Master of Science Degree in Sports and Recreation management from Kenyatta University has been given a nine-month contract.

The move strengthens the senior management structure of AFC Leopards, where Abisai will oversee the day to day operations of the club.
Abisai holds a Master of Science Degree in Sports and Recreation management from Kenyatta University.
He also has 8 years’ experience working as head of sports at Kenya Methodist University and 3 years of academic experience as sports management lecturer at Kenyatta University, Masinde Muliro, and Moi Universities.
He joins AFC Leopards from 1st April for a period of 9 months ending December 2018.
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Rodolfo Zapata as head coach for the senior team for a period of 20 months’ renewable beginning 1st may 2018 and ending December 2019.
The coach boasts of having among others Uefa A license and Bachelor of science in physical education physical education institute (IEF) Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He has a background of 30 years as professional player and coach in Argentina, USA, Nigeria, South Africa, Botswana and Canada. We are honored to have such vastly experienced coach in our midst.
We will give the coach all the necessary support so that we can achieve our goals.
He has worked with both youth and experienced players in the countries where he has coached and that will help us a lot.
