The two teams that will automatically be promoted from the National Super League (NSL) to feature in the Kenya Premier League (KPL) will officially be known this coming weekend.
This is after the top three teams in NSL: Ushuru FC, Vihiga United and Wazito FC registered wins over the weekend to take the battle for KPL top two automatic promotion spots to the wire.
Leaders Ushuru FC beat Mosca FC 1-0; Vihiga United thrashed Bidco United 3-1 while Wazito FC registered a 2-0 win over Kibera Black Stars. KCB fell off the top pack after a one all draw with lowly St. Joseph Youth FC.
Ushuru FC lead the NSL table with 78 points, Vihiga United and Wazito FC lie second and third respectively with 77 points each. Wazito has an inferior goal difference compared to Vihiga United.
KCB lies 4th on the log with 74 points. Ushuru FC, Vihiga United, Wazito FC and KCB all have mathematical chances of finishing among the top two teams.
NSL season comes to an end on November 26. Vihiga United will host league leaders Ushuru FC, Wazito FC will be away to Police FC while KCB will host Coast’s Modern Coast Rangers.
The two top teams will replace Western Stima and Muhoroni Youth, after the two Kisumu based sides were relegated from KPL.
