Promoted KPL side Vihiga United have reinstated Edward Manoah as the club's head coach.
This comes barely a month after Manoah resigned from the club and forcing them to advertise for a new coach.
However, Manoah was among those who applied for the job and now the club confirms they have rehired him as they seek to make their debut season in the topflight league a success.
Manoah led the Western Kenya-based club in securing a spot in the 2018 premier league as they emerged winners of the 2017 National Super League campaign.
While confirming the hiring, club secretary general Wycliffe Luvavo said the management reached the decision yesterday (Sunday) after reviewing papers of the more than 13 coaches who applied for the job.
“I can officially confirm that we had 13 applicants for the coaching role; seven international coaches and six local. We settled on Edward Manoah because of his experience, He has been with the players for the longest time. Having interacted and understood the team well we saw the need to retain him,” Luvavo said
“We are working hard to ensure that we are recruiting Mike Muiruri to our technical team so that we kick off the season with an established squad. Hopefully, by Wednesday, we shall have more information concerning him,” Luvavo added.
