Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards have completed their eighth signing of the season after roping in Thika United utility player Wilson Anekeya on a three-year deal.

Confirming the deal on Friday,Leopards chairman Dan Mule said the player who is ordinarily a right back defender but can still feature on the left and central defence roles would add competition in the club even as the thirteen times champions prepares for both the Caf championship and the 2018 season.

"Anekeya has signed a three year contract.He's a player the coach identified and we've now signed him.He's a good player and can play several positions and that's important because he will bring competition for positions and that's why we are bolstering the team well", Mule told Futaa.com.

Other players that the GOtv champions have successfully lured to the den include former Gor Mahia man Ezekiel Odera,Ezekiel Owade,Ezekiel Otuoma,teenager Baker Lukooya,Ramadhan  Kibiringo,Yusuf Mainge and Brian Marita.

Ingwe had a torrid 2017 season that at one time tittered towards a halt as relegation prospects flew by.However they managed to stage a spirited fight in the dying minutes of the season to remain afloat thanks to the timely appointment of the no-nonsense tactician Robert Matano as head coach.
