Kenya Premier League side Chemelil Sugar are planning to scout for players in high schools during the December-January transfer window, head coach Abdalla Juma has revealed.
In an interview with KPL portal on Wednesday, the veteran tactician said that Kakamega High School and Chemase Secondary are some of the avenues that they are keenly monitoring with an aim of getting players.
"We will sign a few attacking players before the next season. We have already identified some of them from schools like Kakamega High School and Chemase Secondary School who I believe will enable us perform better than we did this season", he said.
The sugar millers shrugged off a major financial crisis to escape the relegation shocker by finishing fourteenth on the log and Juma believes that the future portends good tidings for his charges.
Teenager Faraj Ominde who was picked from Mukumu High School last year was instrumental for Chemelil and this may be one of the reasons as to why Abdalla could be going for his ilk.
