[Photo: nation.co.ke]Kenya Premier League side Ulinzi Stars continued with their quest to build a more formidable side ahead of the 2018 season after bringing on board six new signings. The Soldiers had a disappointing campaign that saw them finish out of their traditional top five bracket and it was widely expected that they would hit the market hard in a bid to bolster the squad.Among the new signings are strikers Oscar Njika and Michael Kahindi, a midfield pair of Michael Milimo and Francis Okumu as well as the backline pair of Boniface Andai and Glen WafulaSpeaking to a local football website on Wednesday, the club's chairman Lt Col. Erick Oloo said that a majority of the signed players are youngsters who will be gracing the Kenyan elite league for the first time."These are talented young players. They were identified during the CDF cup and the coaches are satisfied that they will boost the team, they are largely unknown players but they are very good young footballers," Oloo told Futaa.com."At Ulinzi Stars we give young raw talents a chance and we have no doubt that the six will add value to the team," he added. The soldiers have already lost their 2017 top striker Stephen Waruru who has joined Tusker Fc and could lose Sammy Onyango to Gor Mahia should a deal go through.
