Eleven times Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Tusker FC, have officially parted ways with Ugandan coach George ‘Best’ Nsiimbe.
The Ugandan joined the Ruaraka based side at the beginning of 2017.
He was suspended towards the end of the season due to poor results and utterances he made against some of Tusker’s senior players regarding their age and non performance.
The club confirmed parting ways with the Ugandan tactician through their official website - tuskerfc.co.ke.
“We can confirm that the club has parted ways with George Nsimbe on a mutual consent and he won’t be with us for the 2018 season. We would like to express sincere gratitude for his dedication to the club and the technical team. We wish Nsimbe nothing but the best for his future professional endeavors,” said the club’s chairman Daniel Aduda.
“The club is currently preparing for the upcoming season as the team resumed training on 28th December 2017. We will be able to make an announcement concerning the new coach before the beginning of next season,” he added.
He said former Nsiimbe’s assistant Francis Baraza, will continue holding the office together with Leonard Odipo as his assistant as the club finds a permanent solution.
Tusker finished the 2017 KPL season at position with 50 points, 24 behind champions Gor Mahia.
