Kenya Premier League (KPL) top scorer Masoud Juma seems to have stirred a hornet's nest after he claimed that his Kariobangi Sharks side is greater than champions Gor Mahia and their perennial rivals AFC Leopards.

Juma was earlier in the week quoted saying that he believes Sharks are better than the two sides who have dominated the country's soccer history for decades.

The remarks however did not seem to go down well with former a section of the two clubs' fans with Leopard's striker and Kenyan international, Boniface Ambani chiding Juma for being disrepectful and letting stardom get into his head.

"I just hope and believe it is not true. If it is then the young boys have to learn how to handle stardom. It's always good to stay on your feet. It's always good to respect your fans. It's always good to respect the top clubs in any given nation. That is the best way to grow up. As a player you need to stay calm and keep off issues like this and you will receive support from all walks of life", Ambani posted on his Facebook account.

"Football life is a journey and you need everyone on board.AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia are bigger than Sharks and that's a fact.Yes,it is not amust he plays for ththose two teams but I believe respect will earn him more friends and more support than he thinks.Keep cool.Keep calm", he added.

Juma netted seventeen goals to bag this season's golden boot award even as Sharks finished in an impressive third position.

He is currently in an assignment with the national team Harambee Stars in the ongoing Cecafa tournament.
