The Kenya Premier League (KPL) matches enter round 33 this weekend with the focus shifting to the relegation battle and top-five finish.

A total of eight matches are lined up for Saturday while the remaining one match will be staged on Sunday.

Among the crucial ties will be between outgoing champions Tusker Fc who will play  Sofapaka in a battle for the top three finish. The teams are currently placed third and fourth respectively with only one point separating them.

On the other end, Mathare United will be hoping to survive the relegation scare when they host the already condemned Muhoroni Youth Fc.Thika United will also be praying for good tidings to escape the danger zone when they face league debutants Kericho Zoo in Kisumu.

League leaders Gor Mahia will take on Kakamega Homeboyz at the Mumias Sports Complex while Bandari Fc will be on the road to face Ulinzi Stars in Afraha.

Surprise package Kariobangi Sharks will entertain Nzoia Sugar at the Camp Toyoyo while Sony Sugar will host a gutsy Nakumatt side at their Awendo turf.

Posta Rangers will be looking to consolidate their stranglehold on position two when they take on relegation-threatened Western Stima.

Sunday will witness GOtv shield champions AFC Leopards play Chemelil Sugar at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.
