Kenya Airways has announced that it will be no longer offering flights to two key cities in Asia.
According to reports, the move was made in an effort to improve the airlines' network efficiency.
“This network change will also allow KQ to allocate more seats across its African network where the demand outlook remains strong and capacity insufficient on certain routes,” the airline said.
The change in route plans means that Kenya Airways will no longer offer flights to Honk Khong and Hanoi with the plan set to roll out next month.
Kenya Airways’ Chief Executive Sebastian Mikosz has confirmed that the airline will no longer offer flights to the two cities but will continue to offer flights to Bangkok and Guangzhou.
Kenya Airways has been under a lot of pressure over recent years due to a decrease in yearly revenue, this move can be seen as an attempt to revive the company from a financial standpoint.
