Kenya Airways has signed a deal with Pesalink to oversee the provision of variety of mobile and bank payment for plane bookings through an online platform.
The online payment solutions, which is the first of its own for corporates, will be operated and powered by a multinational company Cellulant that provides digital payment solutions in 10 African countries.
The latest partnership will see the Kenya Airways customers enjoy low transactional fee when making ticket payments via Pesalink on the airliners website and mobile app for amounts up to Ksh 999,999.
According to the KQ's Chief Commercial Officer Vincent Coste , the latest online payments system is among many other technological innovative solutions that the airliner is looking to incorporate into its system as they even try to enhance customers experience and efficiency.
“We continue to partner with the different Fintech companies across the world which will help Kenya Airways improve the online payment experience and increase confidence to its customers while paying for their tickets at Kenya Airways website and mobile app”, commented Vincent Coste.
The Group Head of New Product Execution at Cellulant, Bryan Kariuki , expressed hope and joy saying that they were proud to power payments for Kenya airways.
He added that customers booking their tickets online will be using over 30 mobile money wallets and banks.
