The was delay in flights at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after a Kenya Airway plane tyres burst while on the runway.
The plane KQ 415 from Entebbe Uganda caused a temporary delay in flights leaving and entering Nairobi after runways were closed.
According to KQ management, no injuries were reported during the Monday afternoon incident. "All guests have been disembarked from the aeroplane which currently on the runway," read a statement from KQ.
The plane tyres were later replaced before normal operations resumed. "Efforts were made to change the tyre and move the plane to allow other flights to land and take off," read the statement.
Flights that were mostly affected included those from other parts of the country.
