Kenya Power has also taken a step to disconnect power to the county government offices including the office of Governor Hassan Joho.According to to the power supplier, the county government has not cleared a bill amounting to over Sh 15 million. The taxman said it decided to freeze the accounts, after the Joho-led government allegeldly failed to remit taxes deducted from employees and the suppliers. However, in a quick rejoinder, Mombasa County Secretary Francis Thoya termed the decision by KRA as illegal, adding that they will be moving to court to overturn it.
