The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has held its first ever jungle run in the region in support of Paediatric Renal patients at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).

KRA North Rift Regional Coordinator Florence Otory said the race aims at bringing staff closer to the MTRH  community.

"KRA will refurbish and adopt the Paediatric Renal ward at MTRH at a cost of Sh10 million. The construction exercise will start immediately," she said after flagging of the jungle run at Eldoret KRA regional office, Thursday.

"We will also do the same to other hospitals in the region as Corporate Social Responsibility. This year our main focus in CSR  activities is on health and environment since a healthy nation is a wealthy nation," she added.

The 4 km race which attracted 50 staff members, covered Kapsoya and Iten road then back to the regional office.
