The body of a man was found dumped off Mombasa Road in Nairobi, Wednesday morning.  After examining the body it was found that the man had been hit on the head and strangled to death.

Jared Ratemo Mokua aged 35 was the supervisor for Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Customs and Border Control Department for Mombasa.

The supervisors body was dumped near Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) along Mombasa road after the wife reported him missing to the police.

His brother Harun said that Jared had planned to travel back to Mombasa on Tuesday using a 9:30 am flight after traveling to Nairobi to solve an urgent tax issue.

"When the wife tried to reach him at about 9 am, his mobile phone was not going through. She tried up to late and later decided to make a report to police," said Harun as reported by The Standard.

The family was later contacted by the police Wednesday morning with the heartbreaking news that they had discovered the body.

Mokua was last seen at his law firm in Ngara, Tuesday morning heading to town for a meeting, with plans to catch his flight at JKIA afterwards.
