The Kenya Retired Athletes Association (KRAA) has kicked off an awareness campaign throughout the country to educate retired athletes about the importance of joining the welfare. [Photo/courtesy]This comes days after the association kicked off a recruitment process for new members in different counties.Under the patronage of former five-time cross country champion John Ngugi, former cross country bronze medalist Josephat Machuka and former long distance runner Simon Karori, the association is aiming to recruit more members into the association in order to make it vibrant.Since its formation in 2016, KRAA has been experiencing financial constraints that have discouraged the majority of retired athletes to join them.However, the association officials are yet to hold a meeting with Athletics Kenya executive to discuss matters pertaining the development of the association.
