The Kenya Social Congress (KSC) will field a Presidential candidate during the August poll, the party hierrarchy has confirmed.
The party leader Atati Kengere, who was speaking at Kisii Golf Club on Tuesday when relaunching the party, was also quick to dismiss claims by South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya that the party has a link with both Jubilee Party and the opposition NASA coalition.
KSC which was formed by former firebrand politician George Anyona has been dormant in the past few years.
However, Atati says that the party has been re-energized and that they field candidates across all the elective seats come August poll. He said that the Presidential candidate will be unveiled by May.
Atati also challenged the IEBC to clean the voters' register to ensure that only eligible voters take part in the August poll to ensure that the electoral process is credible.
"We do not want ghost voters in the August elections. We want a clean register to allay rigging fears," he said.
On the ongoing voter registration, the party leader challenged the government to hasten the issuance of ID's to ensure that those who are yet to enlisted as voters do so before the February 14 deadline.
