More than 300 students from Juja constituency have received Kshs. 13 million worth of bursaries from the Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu who is the patron of the area CDF.
Addressing the beneficiaries on Monday at the CDF grounds in Juja, Munyua said that the move is to ensure that the students from humble backgrounds get an equal share of the knowledge offered in schools just like the rest from able families.
He said that since he took over the office in Juja, he has disbursed more than Kshs. 54 million towards supporting the students.
The MP added that education levels have been low in Juja due to the few schools in the area and poverty where parents don’t take their children to schools and instead give them a share of the quarries in the area which they permanently depend on.
