KTN News editor Aaron Obudho Ochieng was on Tuesday charged with stealing the vehicle of his colleague Joy Doreen Biira at the company offices in Nairobi.

He was accused of stealing Sh2.8 million worth Mercedes Benz at the Standard media group parking yard last month.

Ochieng denied the charge and was released on a Sh1 million bond or Sh300,000 cash bail.

The Mercedes Benz E Class 220 silver in color, registered to KBY 831K, was recovered in Kisumu on Friday at a car wash with fake number plates.

Three suspects were arrested and booked at the Makadara Division, Industrial Area Police Station.

Reports indicate that Biira parked her car at the yard but later realized her keys were missing from her desk.
