Vice chancellor Prof Olive Mugenda has confirmed that Kenyatta University will continue to be a centre of excellence in infrastructure.
Prof Mugenda was speaking during the celebrations to mark their annual December graduation held at the university’s graduation square.
She said that the continued plans to make Kenyatta University a state of the art institution has continued to bear fruits. This is as the first phase of the university’s ‘Unicity’ nears completion. She added that other projects will soon be initiated to make the university the best place to learn from in Africa.
“We want to make Kenyatta University a place where African students will aim to join. We are anticipating the support of all stakeholders to make Kenyatta University a state of the art global institution,” Prof Mugenda said.
She added that the second and consequent phases of development in the university would be started soon when the necessary resources and manpower have been accumulated.
“Within the next ten years, Kenyatta University will have achieved more than half of its master plan arrangements,” added the VC.
