A Kenya Deforce Officer who was in killed in Somali during an attack in Kulbiyow was buried on Wednesday in Murang'a county.

The soldier, Jasan Thuku Macharia, was killed when the militia group attacked the camp about two weeks ago.

Macharia who joined the military in 2013 was given a 21- gun salute during the burial.

He was remembered as a patient loving who dreamt to join the military.

“At the time of his death he had served the Kenya Army with loyalty and dedication. He had distinguished himself as a courageous, industrious and honest soldier who was committed to his profession,” read the message to the family.

During the attack, about nine kenyan soldiers were killed.
