Nyamira County gubernatorial hopeful John Kumenda has dismissed reports linking him to Deputy Governor Slot.
A section of social media users from the region had linked him to a running mate post to leading contestant and West Mugirango MP James Gesami.
In a Whatsap message posted in Gesima Watch Tower, Kumenda said he was focused to deliver in 2017 elections and dismissed the running mate reports as misleading.
“I have seen people saying that I will deputize someone and I want to state categorically that I am firm in the race. I am confident of winning ODM primaries and General elections as well,” he said.
“Of course some people have sent me emissaries, I think those circulating the messages are misleading the public. I will be in the ballot box,” he added.
Kumenda seized the opportunity to post an ODM life members certificate adding that most aspirants from the party hard not cleared their arrears.
