The Kenya Urban Roads Authority has introduced technology to manage traffic in the capital city.The new technology is called the Intelligence Traffic System(ITS).This system is the first of its kind in Eastern and Central Africa.A traffic management centre will be brought to bear on the challenges on Nairobi roads.Silas Kinoti, KURA director, has expressed confidence in the system saying that it is going to restore sanity to Nairobi roads.''We anticipate reduced human interface in control of traffic at our intersections and drastic change in driving behaviour among motorists...'' Mr. Kinti said according to the Daily Nation.
