A middle-aged man in Sirikwa Ward, Kuresoi South constituency is nursing arrow injuries at Molo sub-county hospital after he was attacked Friday night by cattle rustlers.
The rustlers who managed to escape with unknown number of cattle from Moto village shot him after he tried to subdue them.
According to at resident, a group of four men have been terrorizing the village.
"They have raided us three times this week, they even fire arrows at our dogs killing them. They have escaped with a lot of cattle from different homesteads. we are now having sleepless night," said Samuel Njiri.
Area chief Timothy Ominde, speaking to the writer, confirmed the incident terming it unfortunate.
"I can confirm that one man has been injured and we are working to tame the rustlers. This is an unfortunate act after communities here enjoying a good period of peace," he said Residents are demanding night patrols by police to tame insecurity in the area.
