Cheboi urged Odinga to cease out of active politics before 2017 saying that his continued stay in politics is likely going to polarise the nation especially during the 2017 general elections.

“The country will be more united if Odinga quits politics and gives room to the fresh blood,” said Cheboi who was speaking while handing over UWEZO fund cheques in his constituency.

He added that Odinga has done a lot to this country in fighting for the democratic space people are enjoying now.

The legislator noted that the decision will help him to protect his personality and respect.

“We all respect Odinga so much and we recognize and appreciate the work he has done over the years to shape this country but I think it’s time for him say enough is enough in active politics. He need to join the growing list of respectable statesman like Benjamin Mkapa,” said Cheboi adding that this will help to unite Kenya.

At the same time Cheboi advised groups which benefited from the fund to put them in viable projects.
