Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot has accused Nakuru county government of Nakuru of neglecting his constituency in development projects and distribution of resources.
Cheruiyot accused Governor Kinuthia Mbugua’s of doing little to his constituency despite receiving huge amounts of money from the national government and collecting high amounts of revenue.
Speaking in Keringet town, Cheruiyot said the county government receives Sh10.3 billion from the national government and collects close to a similar amount in revenue yet nothing is done in Kuresoi.
“We are supposed to be getting over Sh200 million as a constituency, an amount that can spur growth in the rural areas, but it is unfortunate that the same does not reach the ground,” said Cheruiyot. The MP said the 25 million shillings given to each ward was too minimal for development.(photo/thestar.co.ke)
