Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria has called on Kenyans to be alert and unearth Al-Shabaab adherents that might be hiding in their midst.
Kuria added that it was prudent for all Kenyans to take the security of the country as their personal responsibility to avoid deaths from terror groups.
He was speaking from his Constituency on Thursday when he was checking on the progress of projects in the area where he noted the need for residents to be alert on the insecurity but not be against each other.
Kuria said that the government has a mandate of ensuring that they provide the security but also the residents should also on their part deal with the insecurity menace as their burden and help the government to fight the menace.
“The government will play its role of ensuring national security, but it is up to us Kenyans to throw our tentacles into our neighbour’s activities to tame the would be attackers,” advised Kuria.
He said that residents should not be divided among themselves on the basis of tribal backgrounds or even religion as all are Kenyans and share the same Kenyan blood.
