Gatundu South lawmaker Moses Kuria has claimed that his Facebook account was hacked when he allegedly posted inciting content.
Kuria who was testifying in an incitement case facing him at the High Court stated that he has never incited anybody through social media, and conclusive investigations could unearth the truth.
"I have never posted incitement to violence on Facebook and it might be someone else hacked my account," said Kuria when he appeared before senior principal magistrate Theresa Nyangene.
Through lawyer Danson Mutanga, Kuria said that the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has not contacted facebook to give the status of his account at the time he allegedly posted the inciting content.
"No one from Facebook has ever come to court to testify as a witness in the case. The prosecution has failed to prove incitements to violence charges against my client," said Mungatana.
The rulling on the matter will be on 9th December 2016.
