Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has cautioned Cord leader Raila Odinga against dragging the name of Deputy President William Ruto into corruption scandals.

Kuria claims that Odinga and his opposition colleagues are plotting to taint the image of the Deputy President by dragging to corruption scams.

Addressing the media when he toured Gatundu Institute of Science and Technology on Sunday, Kuria further accused Cord of plotting to derail government development agenda.

“Raila Odinga and his friends in Cord should give the Deputy President space to work, we are aware of their plots against the DP,” claimed Kuria. Kuria defended the DP against claims of graft asking those with claims to present their evidence or keep quite. The MP said that opposition leaders are employing evil tactics to cause rift between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy.

The Gatundu legislator said Cord has nothing to offer Kenyans and that their quest for a referendum is waste of time. He said that the push for ‘Pesa Mashinani’ is a campaign trick being employed by Cord. The Gatundu MP that the issue of allocating more funds to counties can be tackled through relevant channels and not the referendum.
