Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has asked Kiambu county MCAs to work with Governor William Kabogo for development purposes.
Speaking to the press on Sunday at Munyu-ini trading centre, Kuria lashed out at some Kiambu MCAs whom he accused of backstabbing the governor.
Kuria said that continued wrangling between the MCAs and the governor is not good for the development of Kiambu County.
“Kiambu MCAs should support and work with Kabogo to spearhead development. The wrangles being witnessed are painting the county negatively,” he said.
Kuria added that leaders in the county have to show respect bearing in mind that President Uhuru Kenyatta hails from the county.
He said that Kiambu County is a national symbol and that leaders should learn to respect and work with each other. He stated that there is need for leaders to unite and work towards addressing the issues facing the people.
On the same note, Kuria urged the MCAs to formulate laws that will promote the living standards of the people.
He noted that MCAs have been given the mandate to draft laws and policies that will empower residents.
Kuria added that locals have a right to demand for better services from the leaders who they elected.
He promised to spearhead the living standards of the people in Gatundu through repair and renovation of roads, supply of clean water and electricity to the locals.
