Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has said that plans are underway to reconcile Nairobi governor Mike Sonko and his deputy Polycarp Igathe.
Speaking on Sunday during a live interview with a local TV station, Kuria confirmed that JUbilee stakeholders have already begun the talks.
He said he will lead the talks together with Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja with support from Jubilee's pool of elected leaders.
“We are looking at all mechanisms including talking to them, that’s also an option. We are going to mend it and fix it and I want to tell the people of Nairobi and people of this country that there is no cause for alarm. We are going to ensure that sanity prevails,” Kuria said.
However, the governor has indicated a resolve to move forward without Igathe.
Speaking at an interview in Mombasa on Monday, Sonko said that he had a team of professionals and experts who would help him steer the county even after the departure of Igathe.
