Moses Kuria, the Gatundu South lawmaker has lauded Odinga over his warm remarks towards the Kikuyu community.Kuria praised Odinga's call for the Opposition supporters to stay peaceful and refrain from attacking their rivals. The commendation by the controversial Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has given rare praise to NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga as he (Kuria) is known to be Nasa's great antagonist. The legislator while reacting to Raila’s speech in Bondo during a memorial service for those killed by the police during NASA demonstrations said it was commendable that the Opposition leader preached peace.During the event held Friday, October 20, Raila pleaded with the Luo community not to victimise people from the Kikuyu and Kalenjin communities living among them following the police killings.“I really liked Raila's speech in Bondo. Do not beat up Kikuyus, Kisiis and Somali businesspeople in Bondo. I think that’s statesmanship. Now also tell them not to demonstrate with rocks. Tell them not to attack police stations because if they do so, predictably and invariably they will be putting themselves in harm's way,” Kuria said on Friday.Kuria also urged Kikuyus to stay calm and express brotherhood to Luos living among them.
