Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, has refuted claims that there was a fall out in Jubilee Government after President Uhuru Kenyatta unveiled the first batch of his cabinet in absence of DP William Ruto.

His assertion comes in the wake of media reports that DP Ruto’s camp was unhappy with the cabinet list leading to his unexplained absence at State House during the naming of the cabinet.

Kuria downplayed the allegations, saying there was no crisis in the government and cautioned the media and public against reading too much into the issue.

“Let us not create problems where there is none,” cautioned Kuria, saying those raising the speculations were still caught-up in the old days of coalition government way of doing things.

Speaking today when he attended a church service at King’ong’o PCEA in Nyeri town, Kuria said the government was very much intact with every decision being made in consultation and consensus between the President and his Deputy.

Heat the same time supported the retention of the six Cabinet Secretaries, saying it was a good move that would go a long way in signaling continuity of economic growth in the country.

His sentiments were supported by area Governor, Mutahi Kahiga, who asked Kenyans to give the president time and space to unveil the whole cabinet before raising concerns.

Kahiga said the county was solidly behind the president and his choice of leaders as he called for the area to be also considered in one of the cabinet slots.

He said they overwhelmingly voted for the President and it was fair that they also get a share of the pie in national leadership.
