Speaking during a recent occasion in the constituency, the legislator said that children from the area will now have the chance to study at night, since not every family is able to afford kerosene.

He noted that lighting up the constituency will give the president’s backyard safety, and also develop the area to benefit the residents in working towards the vision 2030.

“We want to make sure that we take part in the country development agenda. We being the president’s constituency, we have to make sure that the president is not ashamed of his surrounding, the education is also going to be improved with this lighting project and I bet that the mean-score will rise and the children will have a bright future.” said Kuria.

The residents will be required to pay less than half of the recommended amount by Kenya power, and the company’s personnel will ascertain whether wiring is done correctly, then they will connect the electricity.

The legislator has been involved in many development projects in the area since he assumed the seat mid last year. The legislator also has an ongoing soccer league to support the youth around his constituency.
