Milk farmers in Gatundu South will on Tuesday be taught on better livestock farming methods.
The event which is sponsored by Cooperative Bank, Gatundu dairy farmers and the area MP is scheduled to be launched by Moses Kuria, the area MP.
Speaking to journalists in Gatundu Town on Sunday, Kuria revealed that the events venue will be in Gatundu Town near the DCS’ office.
“Plans are underway to change the lifestyle of Gatundu milk farming. We are ready to open a milk processing company here but first, I welcome all of you near DC offices on Tuesday for a seminar on better dairy farming,” he said.
Farmers are requested to embrace the modern ways of farming like better breeding and better milking methods for better sales in the market.
“We must stop the old methods of rearing our livestock if we want quality that will sell in the market. Good milking systems and breeding will capture good quality that will result in better sales,” Kuria said.
