Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria says he will move a motion to compel Treasury to freeze all funds for counties whose governors are accused of corruption.
Kuria says that all the governors implicated in any kind of corruption should resign for investigations to be carried out.
"I am soon going to move this motion so that any Governor who is being implicated will not be able to access the funds till they resign. If they have nothing to hide or if they are not corrupt, why are they refusing to step aside so that investigations can be carried out?" Kuria asked.
Kuria, who was speaking on Tuesday at Gatundu Hospital, said that it was high time that all the leaders take full responsibility and be good examples to all the citizens of this country.
"The Cabinet Secretaries have resigned. I think governors and MPs should also follow suit for investigations to be carried out," Kuria said.
Gatundu North MP Kigo Njenga added, "If we want to fight corruption in this country, then we the leaders should be on the forefront in doing so."
The two MPs had accompanied the Cabinet Secretary for Health James Macharia when he toured Gatundu Hospital.
