Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has dared NASA leader Raila Odinga to formalise his withdrawal from the presidential election set for October 26.
Speaking during a Mbele Iko Sawa caravan in Gilgil Town, Kuria told Raila to quit the race procedurally by filling in Form 24A.
Form 24A is a statutory document that IEBC requires candidates to fill in to withdrawal from an election.
"Raila is just making empty threats. If he does not want to embarrass himself again on October 26, let him withdraw officially as required by the law," the MP said.
Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka withdrew from the race citing unfair playing ground.
The NASA leader maintains that he won't sign the Form 24A arguing that he does not need to do so as he already wrote to IEBC withdrawing his candidature.
"When we wrote to the IEBC for my withdrawal, it meant they have to organise fresh elections in 90 days. There will be no elections on October 26, that should be clear," Raila said.
On Tuesday, IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba said that Raila was still considered as a presidential candidate until he formally fills form 24A.
