Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has written to the United Nations for a meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to discuss what he has called Raila's 'political greed'.
The meeting, according to Kuria, will also discuss the ongoing Cord's weekly anti-IEBC protests which he says are dividing Kenya along ethnic lines.
"I will be able to show how Raila uses divisive politics to force himself into shared government and why he is willing to use IEBC as a platform to advocate for his political greed," reads a part of Kuria's letter.
He adds: "His intention is to be in government through the backdoor. This is a path we went through in 2007/08 and the script is the same."
Kuria says that the whole of Cord's leadership is a threat to national and regional peace.
"I would appreciate the opportunity of meeting with you to exhaustively discuss pertinent issues touching on electoral reforms in Kenya and the threat to regional peace and security posed by Cord leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula," writes Kuria.
He says that Raila's anti-IEBC protests were already threatening Kenya's fragile unity and that he is not genuine on electoral reforms. The controversial MP who is currently facing several hate speech charges in court, notes that if the protests continue they are "likely to breed violence in 2017."
"He is not after any electoral reforms since he is well conversant on how such reforms can be achieved, but he is using the same to set a stage for a confrontational and divisive politics that may cause violence," he says.
He further noted that Raila was making his last shot at the Presidency and, therefore, "not even the ICC can stand on his way."
