Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s use of history to back up Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022  debacle has received has been challenged by voters.

Speaking on Friday at Ruiru where Deputy President William Ruto had gone to launch the tarmacking of the Ruiru-Githunguri-Uplands road, Kuria said history will compel Kiambu residents and Kikuyus in general, to vote for Willam Ruto come 2022.

"You can change everything in this country Kenya, but you cannot change history and it does not change. Other politicians left us but William Ruto stood with us, can we forget that?" Kuria said.

To challenge Kuria's use of history,  Kiambu residents on challenged the MP's use of history to compel voters to support the DP in 2022.

Wagatonye Junior, a Kiambu resident came up with other historical facts which still needed Kikuyus to support Raila Odinga before coming to William Ruto. 

"Moses Kuria yes history will judge us if we don't back your preferred candidate, but my biggest question is, does history judge selectively? Oginga lobbied for Jomo release but nobody bothered to pay back, his son baba said kibaki tosha costing Uhuru presidency how comes it will judge us if by any chance RUTO does not become the president??" read part of his post on the United States of Kiambu Facebook page.

He added, "Stop misleading Kenyans as if history owes other people judgment than others lets watch the turn of event. I have a feeling you are taking us to the opposition. Kama ni deni tuanze Na zakitambo."

His post attracted the varied reaactions from Kiambu residents who are members of United Staes of Kiambu.

Wa Githinji Jaramba said: "We won't vote for corruption to reign in our country. No single individual is bigger than Kenya. We shall not vote to please an individual and ruin our collective future."

Antony Kiragu said: "History will judge this three parliament as most corrupt."

Michael Kamau N Michael opined: "We're not fool's, they will only be left with their families to mislead, But not us, If they're in debt,, let them pay..."

"Karanja Nyoro noted: "Wasituletee hao dio wana deni juu wakula nao sasa sisi mafala tuwalipie deni hai!! sio mimi sina deni."

Dominic Kung'u Njau said: "There's is only one thing that will stop Ruto to become President. Ask me which one, Death and illness. The other shenanigans of paying the debt or not will not appear once euphoria arrives."

Philip Chege said: "The same Raila will enjoy saying niliwaabia Kikuyu hawawezi support anybody else rem before 2013 that was the say ...mind you that we might not support DP and things might seem to be nice but future will be horrible."
