[Photo: nation.co.ke]A case where Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is alleged to have been urging the youth to attack politicians opposed to NYS projects, was on Tuesday adjourned to February 14, 2018.Milimani senior principal magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot gave the order after Kuria, through his lawyer, asked for an adjournment, saying he had an ill child, whom he had to take to hospital, the Star reports.Kuria was charged with uttering words to the effect that 'it was desirable to cause death and physical injury to certain persons in Kenya' while addressing a group of youths in Gatundu Stadium on June 26, 2015. He denied the charge. The prosecution led by senior state counsel Duncan Ondimu did not object to the defence application but informed the court he was ready to proceed with two witnesses, adds the report.Kuria has several incitement charges bordering hate speech which he denies all. He says the cases are politically driven. He is, however, not the only senior politician who has found himself on the wrong side of the law on incitement charges. Others include former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati MP), Junet Mohamed (Suna East MP) among others.
