 Migori county senator, Dr. Wilfred Machage has said that the Kuria community will vote for president Uhuru Kenyatta during August 8 polls.

Machage who is now vying for Kuria West Mp on a Democratic Party ticket reiterated that Kurias have always been in the government and will not gamble with their votes.

Machage the former area MP accused his opponents for failing to complete the projects he initiated when he represented the constituency in the past.

"Current leaders have failed to deliver. Even the projects I initiated during my tenure are yet to completed", he said. 

He said locals should vote leaders who will be at the grassroots level to address their concerns effectively regardless of the parties they stand for.

He added that Kuria region will hold peaceful elections on August 8. 

Machage was in 2013 elected as  Migori senator on an ODM ticket but decamped to DP citing frustrations in ODM party.
