KUSA newly elected chair Wycliff Kipsang claims that those who lost in the elections took advantage of the ongoing lecturer’s strike to incite students unrest forcing the management to close the university indefinitely.
Kipsang has called on Education cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i to address lecture’s strike called on the aggrieved factions for a consultative meeting to address contentious issues.
This comes as the Technical University of Mombasa follows suit in closing its doors indefinitely following the lecturers strike.
A handful of students have been left packing at the institution’s compound as the majority had left earlier in the morning after the management issued the closure notice.
