Kwale County's Social Services and Talent Management CeC Ramadhani Masudi Bungale has urged women in the county to unite in the movement for women’s rights, equality and justice.

Speaking when he presided over the County celebrations of the International Women’s Day in Kinango town, Bungale said women have the power to bring change in the society. 

"Our communities are strong and have made strides in having stable economy and development through the strength of women,” he said.

He reiterated the County government's commitment to ensuring equal representation in governance and employment, urging county governments and other stakeholders to promote women inclusiveness in their programmes. 

“I call upon all government agencies and private sector to ensure equal representation in their working environment as a way of empowering women.” 

Bungale further commended women for their efforts in development issues and asked Kwale women to unite and seek information on county projects, employment opportunities and services offered by the County government, and also asked parents to educate the girl child as a way of empowering the society.

His sentiments were echoed by Kwale County Woman Representative Zuleikha Juma Hassan and Maendeleo Ya Wanawake County Chairperson Amina Musa.
