Juma, according to sources died at the Aga Khan Hospital where he had been admitted.

By the time of the publication of this story, the ailment that took away his life was still unknown.

The last time he made a public appearance was in Mombasa when ODM party leader Raila Odinga campaigned in Old Town.

The late Senator has been instrumental in promoting the Cord/ NASA agenda at Coast region and has been very close to opposition politicians from Coast.

He was a staunch ODM member.
