All is not well in ODM's Kwale branch amid unending feuds pitting the county's political bigwigs with the latest being between Issa Juma Boy and Nicholas Zani.Issa Juma Boy who was handpicked by his family to succeed the late Senator Boy Juma Boy trounced Nicholas Zani in the party primaries having garnered 15,307 against the latter's 4,382 votes. However, Zani dismissed the results claiming the exercise was marred with irregularities. With the ODM'S disputes tribunal yet to give a ruling, Zani now wants the party to disqualify his opponent from the race for allegedly joining the race past the deadline."Boy would not have been the candidate in the first place because he joined the race past the February 12 deadline,” said Zani, as quoted by The Star. However, in a quick re-battle, Boy dismissed Zani's claims terming him a perennial loser even as he asked him to take the matter to the party's election board instead of the media. This Zani-Boy spat comes at a time when the Raila Odinga-led party is faced with a real dilemma on their choice of candidates in the county that is slowly turning into a battle ground.Already, Dr Issa Chipera's win to fly the party's flag in the gubernatorial race was nullified with the repeat of the nomination set to be conducted. The situation is not any different in Msambweni Constituency where incumbent MP Suleiman Dori's win was red-flagged amid claims of irregularities by his opponent Omar Boga.
