Nairobi senator Mike Sonko has asked Nairobi governor Evans Kidero to take responsibility of the collapsed building in Kware, Embakassi.
Speaking on his official Facebook Page, the senator called upon Kidero to order immediate sacking of construction officials at City Hall over the tragedy.
He ascribed the tragedy to corruption cartels at City Hall and said the regime has to come to an end.
"How (I) wish our Governor is awake & is here to witness the body of this innocent Child retrieved from Heavy Stones and Metals and being taken to Mortuary at this hour of the night," he posted.
"This is enough torture to Make him Sack all corrupt City Hall officials who approved this building before he was elected, who always take a bribe and allow illegal construction which eventually causes death among our innocent brothers and sisters.#KwareBuildingCollapse," Sonko added.
