Pay TV Kwese has launched a three day subscription package which will allow its customers to pay as they watch.
The move by Kwese TV aims to tap into the high demand for entertainment, current affairs and sports programming.
Now customers will be able to pay for a three-day, seven-day or 30-day package that will allow them to access premium content.
“Kenya is an important market for us and we are excited to bring our full offering here,” said Kennedy Ojung’a, Kwese TV general manager for Kenya.
Kwese TV signed a deal with Union of European Football Associations (Uefa) and Fifa, which will allow them to showcase national team football matches and the 2018 World Cup across the continent.
The company has also secured a deal with the NBA which will allow them to showcase live games throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
Kwese faces stiff competition from Multichoice’s DStv as well as new streaming services such as ShowMax and Netflix.
