The Kenya Water Institute(KWI) will soon establish it's constituent college in Eldoret town.
Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago said plans are in the final stages and soon they will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to finalize the exercise.
This will be the first KWI constituent college apart from the one in Nairobi.
"I want to applaud the KWI for choosing to put their constitute college in Eldoret town, as a county government we will accord them the support they require to run their activities smoothly," Mandago said Eldoret town, Thursday.
"My government will give them ten acres of land with buildings in Soy to start the college. We will provide security and infrastructure on the same," he added.
The chairman of the institute's council Benjamin Mwema said once the college is complete it will not only benefit Uasin Gishu residents but North rift region at large.
It will offer diploma and certificate on water-related courses.
"The institute will provide a platform that will equip youths with skills and knowledge on water techniques," he said.
